Coach Miguel
Coach Miguel was raised inside the game. The number-one-ranked Under-16 player in Texas, he competed his way through the junior circuit before moving to California, where he played high school tennis in Santa Monica. At just fourteen years old, he contested his first ATP qualifying tournament — an early proving ground that shaped the disciplined, honor-first philosophy he teaches today.
Over more than five years of instruction, Coach Miguel has developed players across Southern California and Puerto Vallarta — coaching youth, teen, and college-ready competitors and guiding adult players through private instruction and cardio tennis. His youth and junior development camps, hosted by The Lifestyle Artist®, brought his character-first curriculum to players in destination settings. Wherever he coaches, he carries the same conviction: that technique and character are never separate pursuits. As a certified RSPA Level One Professional and ACE Master Guardian — and a trained, experienced emergency medical technician — he builds his teaching around the Eleven Privileges of Tennis, guiding students toward honor, emotional mastery, and the quiet dignity of self-officiating, all within an environment where their safety is quietly assured.
It is this union of excellence and stewardship that defines an ACE coach — and as founder of The ACE Academy, Coach Miguel has built the entire program around it: not merely to teach the game, but to guard its nobility.
